2:214 note

[2:214] Or do (Am') you think (Hasib'tum') that (An) you will enter (Tad'khulu') Paradise (El'Jannata) while
(Wa) the instance (Mathalu) of those who (Ellaziina) passed (Khalaw') before you (Min Qab'li-kum) has not
yet (Lammaa) come to you (Ya'ti-kum)? They were touched (Massat'humu) by misery (El'Ba'saa'u) and (Wa)
adversity (Ed'Dorraa'u) and were shaken (Zul'zilu') until (Hattaa) the Messenger (Er'Rasuulu) and (Wa) those
who (Ellaziina) believed (Aamanu') with him (Maåhu) said (Yaquula), "When (Mataa) is the help of GOD
(Nas'ru-llahi)?" Verily (Alaa) indeed (Inna), the help of GOD (Nas'ra-llahi) is near (Qariib).
.
📍Verse/Note-1
2:214 Or, do you expect to enter the Garden (or regain your lost Paradise) without facing challenges as came to those who passed before you? Hardship and adversity befell them, and so shaken were they that the Messenger and the believers with him, cried, “When will the help of God come?” But, (once the revolution gets going) God’s help is near.
.
3:141, 9:16, 29:2, 33:10. Unity of mankind will not be easy to attain. The differences and prejudices of race, ethnicity, color, creed, wealth and nationalism will always be the barriers to surmount.
.
📍Verse/Note-2
214 O Jama at-ul-Momineen, the ideal social system which will be free of dissension will not
be created without great hardship and difficulty. Those who established this system earlier, met
with such formidable obstacles that they cried out: When will our efforts bear fruit, O Allah?
(3/141, 9/16, 13/40, 29/2, 33/10). You will also have to confront similar obstructions, but be sure
that your efforts will be rewarded as were theirs.
