(The Four Months of Hajj (Dhul-Hijjah, Muharram, Safar, & Rabi I).
.
[2:197] The months (Ash'hurun) of Pilgrimage (2:189) (El'Hajju) are well-known (fixed) (Ma'luumaatun), so (Fa)
whoever (Man) obligates (Farado) the Pilgrimage (El'Hajja) in them (Fiihinna), thus (Fa) he shall not (Laa)
behave obscenely ⭐1
(Rafatha), neither (Walaa) act iniquity ⭐2 (Fusuuqa) nor (Walaa) argue ⭐3 (Jidaala) during
(Fii) the Pilgrimage (El'Hajji). And (Wa) whatever (Maa) you do (Taf'ålu') of (Min') good (Khai'rin), GOD (Ellahu) knows it (Ya'lamu-hu). And (Wa) be provided (Tazawwadu'), for (Fa) indeed (Inna), the best
(Khai'ra) of provision (Ez'Zaadi) is piousness (Ettaq'waa); “so (Wa) reverence ME (Ettaquuni), O (Yaa) those
(U'lii) of intelligence (El'Al'baab).”
.
📍Note-1
Haj should be performed in the beginning of the restricted months: Zil Hijja, Muharram, Safar, and Rabi Awwal (2:189). Thus, Haj can be performed four times a year. Limiting Haj to once a year on a specific day, as traditionalists do, rather than four months, has created negative consequences such as inadequate service, hotels, dirt and chaos. See 9:37. The story about the black stone is a myth. Showing such a reverence to a stone or a tomb and asking for help from the dead is idolatry. Unfortunately, the International Discussion Conference (Hajj) has been distorted into a satanic ritual about 4 stones: kissing a black stone, circumbulating around a cubic building made of stones, and stoning a vertical stone pretending to be Satan. (1:5; 2:24; 10:106; 6:56; 7:194; 18:52; 22:73; 26:69; 28:88; 35:14; 39:38; 40:66; 46:5; 72:18; 2:149; 5:3; 16:120; 22:78; 66:6).
.
📍Note-2
Sexual intimacy, breach of discipline and argumentation would hamper mutual consultation in a focused, amicable environment. Ample provision is not meant only to avoid asking for help, but rather being able to help others. The Central Authority, any time in the Divinely ordained four Months of Peacetime should decide upon and announce the exact dates of Hajj. The current practice of “performing” the ritualistic pilgrimage only in Zilhajjah, the 12th lunar month, finds no authority in the Qur’an. 2:194, 9:1. Ulil albaab =Those who possess understanding, is obviously a common gender.
.
.
[2:198] There is no (Lai'sa) blame on you (Junaahun Ålai'kum') to (An) seek (Tab'tagu') favour (Fad'lan) from
(Min) your LORD (Rabbi-kum'). So (Fa) when (Izaa) you proceed (Afad'tum) from (Min') Arafat (Årafaatin),
then (Fa) remember GOD (Ez'kuru-llaha) at (Enda) the Sacred Site (Mash'åril' Haraami), and (Wa)
remember HIM (Ez'kuruu-hu) as (Kamaa) HE has guided you (Hadaa-kum'); for (Wa) indeed (In), you were
(Kuntum) before it (Min Qab'li-hi) among (Lamina) the misguided (Ed'Doalliin).
.
📍Verse/Note-1
2:198 (The Hajj Convention is not an assembly of monks.) There is no blame on you if you seek the bounty of your Lord by trading. Returning in groups from where you got introduced to one another (Arafat), let your experience be a conscious and ever-lasting monument to peace in your lives. Take God’s messages to heart, and remember Him in the way He has directed you. Before this you were wandering to and fro.
.
📍Note-2

.
[2:199] Afterwards (Thumma) proceed (Afiidu') from (Min') where (Hai'thu) the people (En'Naasu) proceed
(Afaado) and (Wa) seek the forgiveness of GOD (Es'tag'firu'llaha). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is Forgiving
(Gafuurun) and Merciful (Rahiim).
.
📍Verse/Note-1
199 When the proceedings have ended, you should return to your own lands (without feeling
that you are any different from other people) and think of ways to make your Ummah secure and
self-sufficient according to the programme settled in the aforesaid assembly. This way, Allah will
surely bestow His Protection and Rahmat on you.
.
📍Note-2
"surge onward in multitudes whence the people surge onward in multitudes": thus the pilgrims are called upon to submerge their individualities, at that supreme moment of the pilgrimage, in the consciousness of belonging to a community of people who are all equal before God, with no barrier of race or class or social status separating one person from another.
.
.
[2:200] And (Fa) when (Izaa) you have concluded (Qadoi'tum) your rites (Manaasika-kum'), then (Fa)
remember GOD (Ez'kuru'llaha) as (Ka) you remember (Zik'ri-kum') your parents (Aabaa’a-kum') or (Aw')
stronger (Ashadda) in remembrance (Zik'ran). And (Fa) among (Mina) the people (En'Naasi) are those who
(Man) say (Yaquulu), "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), give us (Aati-naa) in (Fii) the world (Ed'Dun'yaa)," but (Wa)
they will have (Lahu) no (Maa Min') positive quality (Khalaaq) in the hereafter (Fiil' Aakhirati).
.
📍Verse/Note-1
200 In earlier days during your assemblies you used to talk about your ancestors boastfully.
(Your talk made the common people feel inferior, so obviously they could not participate in it.)
Now on return from the assembly you should talk about Allah s Guidance instead. Moreover, people who consider the worldly gains an end in itself do get such benefits, but have no share in the
Hereafter.
.
📍Verse/Note-2
2:200 When you have completed your duties, then, remain conscious of God with a stronger commitment than you used to display for your ancestors and their ways. Among the people is he who says, “Our Lord! Give to us in this world.” But he, who looks only for instant gains disregarding the long term, has no portion in the Hereafter.
.
.
[2:201] And (Wa) among them (Min'hum') are those who (Man) say (Yaquulu), "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), give us (Aati-naa) good (Hasanatan) in (Fii) the world (Ed'Dun'ya) and good (Hasanata) in the hereafter (Fiil'
Aakhirati) and (Wa) protect us from (Qinaa) the punishment (Åzaaba) of the Fire (En'Naar)."
.
📍Note:
He does not forsake the Hereafter for this world, and this world for the Hereafter. 28:77
.
.
[2:202] Those (U'laaika) will have (Lahum') a share (Nasiibun) of what (Mimmaa) they have earned
(Kasabu'). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is swift (Sariiu) in reckoning (El'Hisaab).
.
📍Verse/Note:
2:202 It is they for whom is a decent portion: what they have themselves earned. God is Swift in reckoning.
.
Actions get their imprints stamped upon the human ‘self’ in this very life.
