ثُمَّ قَفَّيْنَا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ بِرُسُلِنَا وَقَفَّيْنَا بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْإِنْجِيلَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ رَأْفَةً وَرَحْمَةً وَرَهْبَانِيَّةً ابْتَدَعُوهَا مَا كَتَبْنَاهَا عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ رِضْوَانِ اللَّهِ فَمَا رَعَوْهَا حَقَّ رِعَايَتِهَا ۖ فَآتَيْنَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ

Hermitism and mysticism of any description have no place in the Deen-Islam, the dynamic 

System that encourages social interaction and develops the Self, not in isolation, but in the hurly-burly of life. The existence and development of the physical human being can take place even if 

man is cut off from society, but the development of the human personality, the Self, can only take 

place through social living. This is why God does not decree monasticism or asceticism of any kind. 

Monasticism or religious orders are often seen as peaceful and benign ways of life, but often 

these operate to legitimise grave injustices. This can be seen in the institutions of the church and 

the convents. The child sex abuses in the Catholic Church are now well-documented. In county 

Galway, Ireland, skeletons of 800 babies were found in a mass grave in a home for single mothers 

managed by nuns. In Pakistan, children with Microcephaly (born with a small head) are taken in by 

devotees of Daulay Shah, a revered Sufi saint, to beg in the streets. Those who do not have a small 

head are put in a 'head cage' to ensure the skull does not grow. Many myths are perpetuated 

about these children know as 'Chuhas' or 'Rats', including the myth that it is good luck to give 

them money. No doubt this works well for their masters. Likewise the Buddhist rulers in Tibet, at 

least up to 1951, instilled the belief of 'karma' and re-birth to maintain a system of serfdom, which 

is slavery by another name. Those who fell afoul of the ruling lamas met with cruel punishments 

with no appeal. Even children were not spared as can be seen from the handcuffs especially made 

for them. Women (married and unmarried) were frequently used as 'wisdom consorts' for the 

sexual pleasure of the monks. This monastic system propagated the landlord superiority and 

peasant unworthiness, the lowly poor deserving their mean existence because of their sins in a 

previous life. The religious doctrine of rebirth ensured a life in mental bondage and cruel

Injeel and the Taurah as previous scriptures, but this is not a reference to the new and the old
