Modern science: medicine, astronomy, natural history, archaeology and many other fields in 

science continue to discover new things in the human mind, body, in the world around us and in outer space. In the complexity of these marvels there is so much order, design and balance, the perceptive individual can see intelligence implicit in them. Intelligent design: Where there is a purposeful arrangement we can call it design. Intelligent design goes a step further with the 

design of the end product not only flowing from the data itself but also verifying the information within itself. We know that this 'Self Reference' is in the Quran, and when we understand this we can conclude that the Quran was authored by someone beyond human intelligence - even if we don't know much about the author. If, for example, we can identify separate parts of a human cell 

that operate in an ordered way, it infers that an intelligent mind has been at work. Reflecting on this together with all other biological, chemical and physical systems that operate in a highly ordered and organised way infers nothing but an intelligent designer. We may, if we will, call Him God. See verses: 7:201; 68:52. Evolution: the process by which different kinds of living organism have developed from earlier forms during the history of the earth. While application of natural selection tell us many aspects of how life evolved, it is quite limited in explaining many things that biochemical discoveries can now explain, and indeed there are many things that still have to be understood. In the last hundred years the progress in science has been unprecedented, verse 41:53 states all discoveries are 'signs' of God in the horizon and within ourselves. For us, God's 

existence is inferential - all signs point to God, whether we fully understand them or not is a
